Quick Update

Alright, so I know all of you parents out there are starving for more posts and some updates...

We have officially split into our two teams, Subang and Nilai, and have just started our first "normal" week. The Subang team consists of DT and Kellie House, Kate Freeman, Kelly Patterson, Courtney Mihaich, David Roberts, Zach Frelin, Taylor Palmer, Tom Turner, Michael Hall, Travis Badgett, and Torren Danowski. Nilai constists of Erik McKee, Ashley "soon to be Warrior" Sargent, Lucy Muhirwa, Hannah Love, Lauren Maidment, Megan Metz, Grady Dwiggins, Nathan Wheeler, Adam Moore, and Donovan Beadle.

I will be heading up the Subang teams blog posting, and someone else will be in charge of Nilai. We plan on having a new post up at least once a week from each of the two teams (hopefully more than that, depending on our schedule).

Having been here in Subang less than a weeks time, we have already had multiple opportunities to meet area university students and dive into some local cuisine. Roti Planta, a type of flat bread stuffed with margarine and sugar, seems to be a team favorite. Our first day in Subang we stumbled upon a game of American football, and made some new friends along the way. We've gotten our cell phones, and met up with the local Connexion team. Saturday evening we were invited to a Coffee House gathering with some local students who performed various acts, from dancing, comedy, and music. A few of us sang 'brown eyed girl' while the rest shag danced on stage. Last night, a few of us went to see a basketball team from California play some local students and had the opportunity to play futsal with the students afterward.

Look for more posts, pictures and videos to come in the near future.

Peace and Love from Malaysia!
